At first, you just took new supplies from the supply room to replace the ones that were taken, because you are unsure if it was by accident or on purpose, and you aren’t really sure which co-worker is the culprit. However, it seems like you are needing to restock your supplies 2-3 times a week and not only is it becoming a tedious task, but your boss has asked to speak with you. Your boss suggests you take better care of office supplies and reminds you of the rule that no office supplies should be going home. You try to explain that your supplies have been disappearing, but with no sure person to blame, your story falls short of a good excuse. How would you resolve this conflict? Think of ABCD of the resolution process.
  26. ***I`d tell him straight up that so and so was taking my supplies. I personally don't think I need to be the one being blamed for someone else`s mistake and the id go to the person doing it and walk him to the supply room and show him that he`s a grown man-women and he can get his own supplies from here like all of the rest of us. As the platinum rule states treat others the way you wanted to be treated, he sure wouldn't be to happy if I took his supplies off his desk. But that's how I was raised to do things. I personally wouldn't let someone walk on me and take my stuff for 25-3 weeks before I did something about it. A week at the most to figure out who did it and then I`d talk to the boss let him know before he starts throwing allegations around. May as well get the problem nipped in the butt before it gets worse. In know was would I be in the wrong the person who took them were in the wrong not myself. I think they call that stealing.
